For outsiders, it’s hard to see the connection. Even for insiders, that is, the people in the Internet niche, they may not get it at first. But here’s the connection.
Robert Allen, in the early 80s, wrote a book on how to make money in the real estate business. He called it, Nothing Down for the 80s. At that time, Robert Allen was not a best selling author. So, any chance that his book would command the attention of the American public, who stand to benefit a great deal from the book, was extremely remote.
So he came up with a bold promise. He declared: “Take me to any city in America, take away my wallet and all my credit cards, give me only $100 and in 72 hours I’ll buy a house without putting any money down.”
“Impossible!” was the cynical response from the American public. But Robert Allen persisted. And it got to a point that the Los Angeles Times decided to put him to the test. They bought him and a reporter flight tickets to a city in America he wasn’t told.
On arrival there, the reporter collected everything he had on him and gave him $100. “Okay,” the reporter told Robert Allen as they settled in their hotel room, “now, let’s see how you will buy a house without putting any money down.”
I can imagine Robert Allen smiling confidently. What was such a big deal to the Los Angeles Times reporter and the larger American populace at that time, was a piece of cake for Robert Allen. He had proprietary knowledge, which is the salt and pepper of Information marketing business.
The first day passed and nothing happened. Halfway into the second day, there was no show still. Then, as the day was wearing out, the gates swung open! Bob completed the deal on the first house.
By the end of the third day, he had completed the negotiation for three houses –– with no money down!
Shortly afterwards, Robert Allen was on the front page of Los Angeles Times, beaming with smiles. The paper said he was a loud mouth who performed even a louder feat. The rest, as they say, is now history. Robert Allen is a house hold name in America today among business opportunity seekers. A folk hero.
Our Certified Netpreneur Course, which takes off at SADC, 36, Esuola Street, Off Ago Palace Way, Okota, Isolo, Lagos, on Saturday, May 22, 2010, is the equivalent of Bob Allen’s Nothing Down for the 80s when it was first published.
And our promise, that attendees of the course will be earning money from their Internet business, while they are still undergoing the course, is as bold as Robert Allen’s audacious claim back then.
But we know for sure that it’s NOT a big deal. Keep your ears and eyes open. News of great happenings from the ground-breaking course will soon filter into your ears.
And we shall show their fotos with their cheques on this page –– just as we did here for the history makers who attended the maiden Certified Netpreneur Foundation Course [CNFC] that ended at SADC in Lagos last Friday.
A good number of them are going to be pioneer students of the Certified Netpreneur Course.
