PATRICK Onukwu, a devoted reader of SuccessDigest Extra! from the days when the colour magazine version was selling for N500, won the first prize of N25,000 that I offered to anyone who could give me their brutally frank opinion about our new, improved SDE!
Mr. Onukwu was one of ONLY three people who dared to tell me what they thought was okay and what was wrong with the preview edition of the weekly SDE!
The other two readers are: Onuora Chukwu and Azeez Akinpelu. They’re earning N15,000 and N10,000 respectively for their efforts.
What yardstick did I use for deciding what each of them is getting? Simple: Mr. Onukwu’s email was delivered on 14th September while those of Messers Chukwu and Akinpelu arrived the following day. Mr. Akinpelu’s email arrived last.
Translation: all three of them ‘tore’ the edition apart and told me what I consider to be the bitter truth about the publication.
