Join the GREAT Debate: Is Multi-level Marketing Dead In Nigeria?
If you ask many Nigerians who have ventured into it, Network Marketing, alias Multi-level Marketing [MLM] is dead in
And they have tales of woes to back their view. Yet, on the other hand, there are those who swear, by the load of US Dollars they are making from network marketing, that it is far from being sick, not to talk of dying.
My wife and I were in the company of such Nigerians in
And the carnival-like conference was an experience my wife and I would not forget in a hurry. [Don’t miss my up-coming Malaysian Notes in which I detail all that I observed in
Among the Nigerians at the conference was the internationally renowned Mr. Fish. Yes, I’m referring to our own Israel Muyiwa Adediran, the man who popularized the art of Catfish Farming in
Now, don’t say it to the hearing of Mr. Fish that MLM is dead. He has his dollar account to throw at you as evidence that it is not. So also are others.
But what is your own opinion? Is network marketing dead or alive? Why have many Nigerians burnt their fingers exploring it? What are those who are doing it successfully doing right? And where have those who have sad tales to tell missed it?
If you have ever shown any interest in MLM before and your experience was either sweet or bitter, then join this debate. Tell me what your own experience is, good or bad. We want to get to the heart of this business concept that has as many people condemning it as are exalting it.

Greetings Success Daddy,
I am so happy you raised an issue of this type at a time like this the global world is entering a new economy while another is fast dying.
I am a seasoned Network Marketer and have earned a living in all the network marketing company have participated in and from experiance I have the following to say.
1. Most Nigeria fail in Network Marketing because they lack the skills of leadership and Marketing which is the secret to success in NM.
2. NM is a distribution marketing system where product consumers are compensated for sharing and selling products to their customers and consumers and are also paid for doing that period. So any opportunity where you only earn when you signup prospect without selling the companies product please don’t take a second look on it.
3. So succeed in this time in Network Marketing you need to forget about the old dinosours method of prospecting cold calling, warn list and harrassing your family relations and start bulding real Internet Skill Daddy Sunny Ojeagbase has been teaching through Success Digest like List building, the art and science of writing a sales letter, forum marketing, articles writing, blogging etc.
4. Nigerians have to awaken to this Industry because according to an economy guru, professor and twice US adviser on Intl. Economies Paul Zane Pilzer said that in the next 10 years Network Marketing will be raising 10 trillion millionaires worldwide while it took US to raise 1 million millionaires in 100 years
Success Daddy thanks for raising this issue and giving me the opportunity to share this tips because I feel guilty at times knowing this and keeping to my self.

hi Andy, Its interesting to know that someone is as passionate as I am about network marketing. Y ou said you are a seasoned networker, wow!! But its quite unfortunate that most Nigerians are unaware of the workings of NM. I recently joined a foreign company and decided to promote the business to Nigeirans only to meet a lot of stumbling blocks of
1) this companies been available to the majority of nigerians cos of its payment method.
2) most nign prospects are unfamiliar with how it works and alot of other details
I believe NM is not dead in Nigeria but the main issue is ITS LASTING EXISTENCE!! since none has stood the test of time which is nigerian owned and based!!
will like to know what you think will be done to improve this!!

Thanks Nazor,
I really appreciate your comment and your passion about NM and work at home in Nigeria.
The Issue still remains that most Nigerians needs to embrace Internet Marketing and Marketing skills generally because thats the only thing I know turns your bank account dumb and loyal to you.
I will like to address the following issue.
1. Most Nigerians has been sold in the past with different get rich programs like wonderbank and co and presently anybody you are teaching about Focus, Leadership, Persistence and Perspiration in business he looks at you as if there is a secret you are hiding from him but the only secret of success I know and I hold strongly is the ability to identify what you need in terms of upgrade and Hardwork.
2. Most Nigeria lacks relationship skills as soon as they get you into their program you are left in the shelf like a won troupe without any support and mentorship from your upline. well I don’t blame them because their leader hardly attends seminars, training and some don’t even read success digest I have meet so many of them.
3. In my seminars both Internet marketing and NM I usually tell my students that there is a massive wealth transfer going on now and wealth has actually left the ground to head so the new power now is a creative and problem solving intellectual power,
Finally I will Like to leave the following words to Nigerians
“Those Who Know More Earns More”
Goodbye

My name is Lanre
I’m confused about MLM as being genuine
Truely bothered on the issue of MLM as the mode of business operation
By the way, as a christian, What is your view about MLM?
That kind of business is so controversial that a christain should not venture in. I think that in my own opinion.
I the trend, the last person in the programme will not be able to get anything and that will mean cheating by others that have got the juice of the business at the start.
Take for instance, they say pay N15000 for brand new laptop and bring 4 people before you collect. Until each of the 4 people have contributed their own N15000 each I will not collect. Then each of them too have to do the same.
I bought the ebook on the laptop but I couldn’t proceed due to this issue
What will happen to the last group if they did not see any people to bring?
Lost of money? What is my innocency then before my neighbours i introduced into the system?
PLease, please, please help me to solve this puzzle. I love the business but tackle this notty issue.

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of hardship when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never imagined that there weren’t any need in large starting capital.
Now, I feel good, I started to get real income.
It’s all about how to select a proper partner who uses your funds in a right way – that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the profit with me.
You may ask, if there are such firms? I have to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:
