How To Stay Connected To Your SOURCE (5)
When I started writing on this subject last June –– see Volume 4 No 10 dated June 23, 2009 –– most of my readers could never have imagined that what I boiled down to three simple steps could be as complex and as demanding as what I’m exposing them to now.
I’m pretty certain that many of them would have thought that at the most, I would cover everything about the topic in two or three editions. But we have had 12 instalments since we started and we’re still counting.
Why do I bring this up here? One important reason. It’s to draw your attention to the fact that when you see someone who is excelling in one area, that person has paid a huge price for the result you’re seeing. And, in most cases, you never had the privilege to observe him when he was making the payment to the cashier.
What you see –– what attracts you to such individuals or what makes you to pay attention to such people –– is the result they are producing. We all like the proofs. They are like magnets and they get our attention. We all want to have such outcomes ourselves and have it instantly. Or, if we are a little bit patient, almost instantly!
Anyone who has been following this serialization diligently knows now that it is an illusion to desire such an instant result. No, it won’t happen. It never does!
As I noted in the very first instalment of what I called, 3-Simple System That Pumps Money Into Your Bank Account Like Invisible Paymaster, unless you LEARN IT [Step One] and DO IT [Step Two] you cannot SELL IT [Step Three] and unless you SELL IT, you will never receive any payment from the INVISIBLE PAYMASTER.
We are still on the second step: DO IT. As you would’ve noticed if you’ve been paying attention, what I call the Critical First Step, which is LEARN IT, applies to all the three steps. Unless you diligently learn how a thing works, you can never duplicate the result you’re seeing someone else who has mastered the thing producing.
I guess I’ve made an important point so let’s get back to where we stopped last week. My promise for this instalment is that I’ll show you the connection between tithing and sowing. The two are basically the same thing.
Tithing is about giving back to the source where you received from in order to get more of what you were given before. It’s about gratitude; it’s showing deep appreciation for a favour received.
So also is sowing. To sow anything, you must have a seed. And as we understood from last week’s instalment, a seed is the propagative source of anything. It multiplies. It replicates itself. Which means a seed must first exist before it’s sown. You can’t sow it if you don’t have it.
But when you have a seed in your hand and you sow it, it will definitely bring a harvest, which is then bound to bring a larger number or quantity than what you sowed. This is a spiritual law. It works automatically. And it will continue to work for as long as the earth remains.
This is the powerful secret that controls abundance. Anyone who desires to create wealth, who wants to have enough to take care of his and his family’s needs and still have surplus to share with others, must absolutely understand this principle and diligently operate it.
Unfortunately, the people who see tithing and sowing from this perspective are very few. That’s why you see a lot of people, even Christians, argue a lot on this subject. But GOD’s Word is not open to debate. You either take it or leave it. And majority of people prefer to leave it and opt for other risky alternatives that are not guaranteed to deliver lasting success.
Okay, let’s get away from the spiritual briefly and apply the same principle to business. To achieve great success in the marketplace, that is, to enjoy profitability in your business, you must be a genuine giver. That is, you must love your customers as you love yourself to the point of giving them something they will so value that they will be glad to pay you well for it.
Try as hard as those who don’t understand this principle do, they always fail miserably in business. The law that drives success in business, any business, is give [first] and it shall be given to you [in return].
What do you give first? Quality product or service. What do you get in return? Payment for your quality product or service. And, in addition to that, if you deliver exceptional service, you get customer loyalty and raving fans for your business.
We shall cover a lot more ground on this when we get to the Critical Step Three which is SELL IT. But you can see from what I’ve just described that taking a portion of what is in your hand and giving it out [sowing it] to have a great harvest in return, does not apply to spiritual matters alone.
If you fail to master this aspect of doing business, you’ll not only lose your place in the marketplace, you’ll also go to bed with empty stomach. There’s no question about that.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s return to tithing and sowing. We’ve covered enough ground on tithing. Now let’s look at sowing more closely.
We know that we have to have a seed before we can sow it. And this is where a lot of people have a hard time because they think they don’t have a seed to sow or that taking a portion out of the little they have and sowing it will ‘kill’ them.
They are wrong on both counts!
For example, anyone who is healthy has a great resource that he can sow. And what is this resource? Time! If you don’t have a source of income, which will definitely mean you’re not engaged in any productive activity that will cause others to pay you, then you have lots of time in your hand.
You can creatively sow that ‘free’ time in other people’s lives and it will still bring you a great harvest. Did you ask how? Then join me next week and I’ll show you exactly how you can do it.
