One of the greatest benefits of staying connected to your SOURCE is that you’ll get the confidence to be fearless when He opens the windows of heaven and pours out His blessing on you to the extent that you won’t have enough room to receive it.

If you missed my column in last week’s edition, you need to read it first before this one so that you will grasp the awesome truth that I’ll be sharing with you here.

I’ve proven to you, by my own testimony, that GOD does fulfill the promises He made in His Word which are documented in the Bible. The promises are to His children who walk in obedience to His commandments.

And His commandment, which relates directly to receiving non-stop payment from the Invisible Paymaster, has to do with Tithing and Sowing. So, please don’t allow anything to distract your attention while I show you how to walk in the light of these powerful kingdom secrets.

I want you to keep the following Scriptures at the back of your mind as we go through what makes Tithing and Sowing so incredibly powerful. The first Scripture is from the Book of John and it says: “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken” [John 10:35 –– emphasis mine]; and the second one states: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” [Matthew 24:35].

I want you to take note of the fact that both statements were made directly by Jesus Christ, the Master Himself.

Now, listen to what Genesis 8:22 says: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

Did you get that? It is saying to you and me and anyone else who cares to walk in the light of GOD’s Word that anytime you wake up and you can step on the earth, walk on it, the law of seedtime and harvest, is still in force.

Genesis 8:22 is part of the scripture that “cannot be broken” and part of Jesus’ Words “that shall not pass away” even after heaven and earth have passed away.

Okay, now what is “seedtime and harvest”?

Simple, seedtime is planting time. It means you take a seed and plant it in a good soil. That is seedtime. And harvest? That is what follows when you plant a seed in a good soil. If you nurture the seed, if you water it and tend it, then it will bring harvest.

Psalms 126 verses 5 and 6 express it well: “They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing. He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” [The Amplified Bible].

My clear understanding of what Genesis 8:22 is saying is that each time I sow a seed in a good soil, I should expect a harvest. This Scripture, like all the rest Scriptures in the Bible, cannot be broken and it shall not pass away.

What a light to walk in!

Now that you know what seedtime is, what is a seed?

A seed, according to a dictionary, is “the propagative source of anything”. And propagation is simply an act of “producing offspring or multiplying.”

In other words, a seed is anything that is capable of reproducing itself or multiplying itself. Take note that the dictionary says it is the propagative source of “anything”. The word “anything” is crucial to understanding what I want to show you here.

“Anything” will include time, money, your action, whatever. Once you lock that understanding of “anything” in relationship to “seed” to your brains, then you’re ready to walk in the realms of abundance that your Maker has provided for you.

Now, let’s go back to seedtime and harvest that will not cease for as long as the earth remains. From the understanding that you have now, it means that you must always, constantly, sow seeds in order to reap harvest.

And that seed could be your time, your money, your action [like loving your neighbour as your self] and so on. And it also means that the more you sow of “anything,” the more of it shall return to you. Always. And forever for as long as the earth remains.

That is an awesome secret I’ve just placed in your hands. If you walk in the light of it, then you will see your life being transformed dramatically. Remember the first principle I taught you about staying connected to your SOURCE? It is Walking in Truth. And what is truth? The Word of GOD.

So what has all of this got to do with Tithing?

Let’s get back to Chapter 3 of the Book of Malachi and read from verse 6 all the way down to verse 12: “For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, How shall we return?

“Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? [You have withheld your] tithes and offerings. You are cursed with the curse, for you are robbing Me, even this whole nation.

“Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

“And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.”

Who is speaking here? Your SOURCE! The ONE I say you must discover and stay connected to if you want the Invisible Paymaster to be depositing cash into your bank account non-stop.

When you decide to honour GOD in every area of your life by obeying Him; by doing what His Word says, you will start to see His promises fulfilled in your life. You have to obey Him first. That is very important.

And His commandment concerning tithes is that the first ten per cent [10%] of ALL your income belongs to GOD. Consider Leviticus 27:30: “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord,” and Deuteronomy 26:12-13: “When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.

“Then say to the LORD your God: ‘I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them’.”
