IN case you’re wondering if I read every page of the books I mention here, the answer is ‘No!’ Sometimes I devour all the pages and at other times I read one or two chapters. It all depends on the subject and whether or not I want to extract everything the author has to say or mine the nuggets in a few chapters. That said, I’m currently ‘nibbling’ at Good To Great by Jim Collins. A wonderful book, more than 2 million people across the globe have a copy in their library.

IF you were presented with three choices –– time, money [seed or working capital] and good health –– which one will you absolutely go for? Which of the three will you hang on to while ignoring the other two?

Tricky question, you say? Maybe. But I don’t think so. Not when you give it a deep thought. Depending on the level you’re in your entrepreneurship career, the answer is as simple and straight forward as ABC.

RECESSION is looming! Admitting it is not being negative. The signs are there. It may not be Nigeria’s worst ever recession. But the economy is slowing down all the same. Are you prepared for it? Are your defences up against it? Will you be able to cope when it starts to bite?

Asking –– and finding the right answers to these questions –– is the right exercise that anyone with at least a little sense should be engaged in at this time. Not to do so is to behave like the proverbial Ostrich.

RIGHT now, I feel like visiting every SuccessDigest Extra! reader and having a heart-to-heart discussion with them.

You know that type of feeling, when you want to be alone with someone you care about, where the two of you can pour out your hearts without being disturbed.

Why am I feeling this way? Because I sense a need, in fact an urgent urge, to do so. You see, the sort of stories that are flying about now, especially about the economy, is not too good.
